Description
Top view into the deep gash that is called the Sheep Tank. This slot contains several deep water pockets (called tinajas), their capacity is estimated to be ~20,000 gallons (75,600l). It is an important watering hole for Bighorn sheep (hence the name Sheep Tanks) and other wildlife. Anza Borrego Desert State Park, California. January 2013.
